You Had Me At Fried Chicken

Just as I was starting to have harsh cravings for some fried chicken...

This video by HypeBeast Eats pops up in my feed.

Coincidence? Or better yet, a sign?

It really isn't fair to show everyone this at this late of an hour, but daaammmmnnnn, this place looks so bomb for some deep fried heavenly goodness

I could really use some of that right about nowwwww

The struggle is real

Food aside, I'm totally feeling the vibe of the restaurant too - lovin' the wooden layout, coat hooks by each table and bar stools on the side. It's really inspiring to hear the founder/owner take the time to put some thought in fine-tuning all aspects of the restaurant down to the details.

By adopting decor pieces that pay homage to his hometown NY and as he claims, the birthplace of fried chicken and waffles, it really gives the restaurant a sense of character. At the end of the day, it really shines through with the way the atmosphere complements the food so nicely together that the co-presentation works to create a lasting impression on the diners.

Check out Sweet Chick, if you're ever in Brooklyn, NYC, and let me know if it tastes just as good as it's shown in the video!
