Art and Craft Trailer

Ever wonder whether the art pieces you see hanging on the museum walls are actually the real deal? Can one 100% authenticate a piece of artwork as the real deal?

Backed by 475 individuals in its original Kickstarter to fund this feature documentary project, the film tells a story of a son attempting to expose his father's deceptive past in "philanthropically" donating forged pieces of art to many museum art professionals and collectors for over 30 years. Granted the title, as one of the most prolific art forgers in U.S. history, Mark Landis is an infamous figure well-regarded for causing detrimental damage in the art community. Fearful of other art forgers who may in turn follow in the foot steps of Landis and the general state of art, Mark Landis' story as a con artist is finally brought to light to the general public.

The beauty of this trailer lies in the fact that it draws many similarities in theme, music selection and animation to the opening title sequence of the young Leonardo De Caprio's classic "Catch Me If You Can". Hopefully this trailer follows through with its promise of a well-shot film as well!
