Toronto Men's Fashion Week Wrap-Up

For all those who didn't know, Toronto hosted its first ever Men's Fashion Week this past week. Following in the big-name fashion cites of the world, such as Paris, London, New York, and Milan, Toronto has now thrown themselves onto the fashion scene as on par with the top ranks after hosting this three-day event. Bringing together designers, like Christopher Bates, Jose Duran, Sons of Odin and Pedram Karimi, menswear lines were finally given the chance to be showcased all on its own.

Due to an undoubted rise in menswear fashion over the years (this may be hard to believe but menswear is actually outpacing womenswear in today's global market), creativity and innovation were once more displayed in the concepts put forth by the upcoming Canadian designers. Here are some of my favorite menswear looks showcased this past week.

Hopefully this menswear event once and for all rids Toronto of the title as simply an aspiring fashion capital when it comes to the comparison of the other fashion meccas of the world, but rather, rightfully places Toronto as an honorable (yearly) host to this wondrous event. Looking forward to what's in store for Toronto's Men's Fashion Week next year!
