With the recent stir of news from the tennis great, Roger Federer, being caught wearing what at first glance appears to be Jordan-inspired sneakers at his first-round match of the U.S. Open to Michael Jordan in the stands watching in awe of just how great Federer is in action, the two sporting legends have in fact been hard at work to drop a new sneaker collaboration between them.
Call it a clever cross-marketing ploy or what not, but the unveiling of the new Nike Zoom Vapor "AJ3" gives the classic tennis shoe an entirely fresh look and I really approve!
The classic Jordan elephant-safari pattern and detailing at the head and heel panels of the shoe really give the classic clean white tennis shoe look a new flair. It appears that the design for this shoe silhouette was drawn heavily from the Air Jordan 3 model, which was popularly received back in 1988.
By successfully combining both Nike Vapor 9.5's latest Dynamic Fit technology with the off-court appeal of the classic Jordan's silhouette, the AJ3 sneakers really does a good job in maximizing both performance and style on the court. One thing's for sure, when you put these sneakers on, there will be a whole lot of winning!

Can we go as far to say that Federer might have done a good enough job in convincing Jordan to momentarily trade up his off-season golfing clubs for a tennis racket?
