Stay True to Yourself

Recently, I came across an interview done by YouTube personalities the Fung Bros with the point guard of the Charlotte Hornets, Jeremy Lin. As a major fan-boy of Linsanity and what he stands for as the first second-generation Asian-American to be playing in the NBA, I have always been amazed at his commitment to his passion for basketball to pursue a career that is not by any means guaranteed, despite being a Harvard University graduate.

In this interview, Lin had a couple interesting things to say that I think are worth taking away. Covering the topics of life in the NBA, the struggles of balancing on-court focus and the outside noise from the media as well as thoughts on people finding out that he in fact enjoys gaming/reading manga in his spare time just as passionately as basketball (which comes to a surprise for many!), Lin touches on a resounding message that we all need a reminder some times - staying true to yourself and pursuing your passion, regardless of what others may think you ought to be doing, is what will give you most happiness and success.

And cause I can't stop listening to the new Bieber album recently (no shame - or pressure - admitting this... it's good okay), I get the feeling that I'll have to show you, so here's a relevant track?  #sorrynotsorry

Don't do nothin' unless your heart's in it. Don't do nothin' unless you're all in it. Cause you're the only opponent - gotta seize the moment. -BIEBZ
