Why You Should Own RAINS Outerwear this Fall

With the recent arrival of rain in Vancouver, we are once again reminded that Fall has crept upon us - the impending rain-couver weather we true Vancouverites know far too well.

As a fellow Vancouverite, we are often naively misled to think that we have escaped those cold, wet days when blessed with the two to three months of gorgeous sunny weather. Yet, right when it seems like the forecast predicting sunshine and clear skies should stretch from weeks on end, that's when the Vancouver rains bring reality crashing right down (in the form of heavy precipitation).

On the topic of rain, especially that of the kind on the West Coast (as I passionately believe rain is distinctly different between the East and West - don't argue with me on this one), one must make sure to have the necessary outerwear to battle the unpredictable falling precipitation, in which the Pacific West Coast proudly boasts to last.

Thus, enter the soon-to-blow-up rain-wear brand come this Fall when all the Hypebeasts around will be sporting their favorite pieces at any possible sign of precipitation: RAINS.

Simple and to-the-point, the Danish brand RAINS, represents yet another Scandinavian brand reaching hollowed fashion ground. Through their presentation of unassuming, high-quality and minimalistic designs, RAINS convincingly shows how all of such qualities can be embodied in a staple rain-jacket wear in which everyone must own. Rain-jackets, anoraks, and ponchos may all be inherent signs of preparing for the worst to come. However, this shouldn't mean style is to be sacrificed for functionality purposes only; but rather, a good marriage between both is often how one should judge a good quality outerwear piece from the others. As opposed to allowing the weather to compromise your style to sticking with solely a functional piece, why not own something that serves to succeed in both functionality and style?

Rain-jackets out in the market today are often (sadly) mis-portrayed as simply a functional piece of unflattering appearance. However, as evident in their Fall/Winter 2015 Collection, RAINS changes the rain-wear game completely. Don't believe me? Just watch.

Sold on its more fitted cuts, neutral color tones, and inclusive technical details with an eye on functionality built-in to the piece itself (such as: ample number of pockets, structured hood with lid extension, appropriately placed drawstrings, and my favorite, snap button!), their water-proof outerwear is surely built to withstand the harshest of precipitations, yet still looking fashionable.

If their Fall/Winter 2015 collection, doesn't have you counting down to the days of when it will rain next or praying to the rain gods to allow for just enough of a cool, overcast weather to be deemed acceptable to wear a rain-jacket piece (cause being overly cautious is far better than being that one person caught in the torrential down pour, right?), I have no words left to say than to wish you the best of luck come the arrival of the next torrential downpour near you.

May we all stay dry (yet still stylish) this coming Fall!

(PS. For some reason, I find the sound of tickling rain playing in the background to be very soothing... Anyone else feel the same way about this?)
