Blending high fashion and street-wear, the recent collaboration between Maison Kitsune and Reebok seems to be a match made in heaven for uniting two heavy-weight brands who have established themselves with a long-standing reputation of creating high quality, ready-to-wear classic pieces that last.
No coincidence to centering this collection around the motif of the great American game, baseball, Kitsune x Reebok completes the Americana theme by giving it a contemporary palette lift by selecting the use of creme/off-white, coral orange-red and navy blue tones. (All of which I absolutely approve!)
In my opinion, what really makes this collaboration stand out is the fact that the pieces are simple, clean and unassuming. The pieces in this collection do not appear to look overly done up to add further emphasis to the collaboration, but rather, the collection stays true to their classic appearance with emphasis on selecting the correct details, such as in the fabric and color tones, as well as paying homage to each of their brand's most defining motif - the Kitsune fox and Reebok Classics sneaker.
