Dreaming of Sushi

one of the things I have truly come to miss is the FRESH sushi you can get in Vancouver

after moving to Toronto, hunting for a decently portioned slice of tuna at a reasonable price seems to have become a seemingly impossible task

because of these strong feelings, I've somehow found my way back to this spectacular, salivating-guaranteed sushi documentary

sushi is no longer defined as simply a slice of fish on rice

watching the 90-year old sushi master, Jiro, mold each individual piece of sushi by hand is simply a beautiful sight to see

every swift movement and firm placement of the fingers breathe the mastering of an art

keeping to principles, consistency, and attention to the finest detail, his vigor of wanting to continually achieve excellence and the hunger to be better even when everyone claims that you are the best of the best is contagious and inspiring

note to self: stay hungry (pun intended)
