BAAAAD BOYS! BAAAD BOYS!

coined the "Bad Boys eras" in the history of the Detroit Pistons from 1979-1994, this group of players was often misunderstood by the NBA as dirty players with no self-respect for the game

rather than glorifying their toughness and unity as a determined brotherhood willing to do whatever it takes to win the holy grail of basketball, they were hated by fans of other teams or boo-ed on the court for their antics

much like how the media portrays the basketball star of today's era, Lebron James, as the bad guy of the league after his decision to "take my talents to South Beach," the Detroit Bad Boys were constantly portrayed as the villains in the shadow of the eras of Magic Johnson vs. Larry Bird and Michael Jordan/the Chicago Bulls

this documentary provides an in depth portrayal of what the Detroit "Bad Boys" Pistons had to go through both on the court as well as off the court, in order to make it as back-to-back NBA Champions in 1989 & 1990

the "Bad Boys" really make it seem like today's league has regressed so far from the toughness basketball used to be played

the mentality that every basket was earned cause driving to the hoop meant drawing a hard foul or better yet, no foul at all

case and point - the Jordan Rules and "tap-tap"
