How to Look Like Your Favorite Rapper This Halloween

Are you still scrambling to put together a last minute costume that's different from the same go-to recycled costume of years past? (I'm definitely always guilty of this)

This post is dedicated to you. (Cause better late than never but never late is better)

Hopefully this will give you some inspiration to dress up as one of the hottest rappers this year.

The look: Hotline Bling Drake

Come on now. How can you deny the perfect timing of Drake dropping his Hotline Bling music video just in time for Halloween? With some brushing up on the Drake-featured dance moves along with this fire outfit, you're meant to tear up the dance floor this Halloween, while looking super cozy doing it.

What you need:

Grey ribbed turtleneck
Grey sweatpants
Classic Timberland boots

The look: Kanye West (2010 VMAs)

The self-proclaimed champion of fashion and anything hip-hop (really though, no one man should have all that power), deserves two different looks with this one (another one). Back at the MTV Music Video Award Show in 2010, Kanye dropped an iconic performance to Runaway in the sense of not only how well executed it was as an artistic expression but topping it off, how well-dressed he was by going with an iconic a red on red look. Personally, this performance is ranked as one of my top 3 performances done by Kanye of ALL TIME.

IS YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

What you need:

Bright red suit
Triple red sneakers (substitute with Nike Yeezy Red Octobers)
Black v-neck tee

The look: Kendrick Lamar

Giving off a much more West Coast laid back look, which complements well to the hard-hitting, raw verses that he lays out on his tracks, Kendrick Lamar is best known for representing his hometown Compton by keeping it real. He speaks of not needing to wear all that designer, even though he can well afford it, because that's not him and that he is much more comfortable in his own skin. If you're looking for a more laid back fit that tells people you don't need the flair to stand out, this look is the one for you.

What you need:

White tee
Light-washed, distressed biker jeans
Nike Cortez
LA Dodgers ball cap

The look: Jay-Z HOVA

As the one with the HOVA title, you better be prepared to represent the New York attitude at its finest. Decked out in a classic Yankees varsity jacket and baseball cap, this look screams that you're made for the hard knock life and hustle to make it here (cause if you do you already know you can make it anywhere).

What you need:

New York Yankees varsity jacket
White tee
Yankees cap (made more famous than a Yankee can)
Air Jordan 3's

The look: Pharrell "Skateboard P" Williams

Dressing up as one of the most successful and highly-recognized music producers at this time will rub off on you right? Also currently leading the adidas Originals comeback into fashion popularity as well as finding time to act as a prominent social activist, it seems as if whatever Pharrell touches, success or happiness soon follows. Hence, this outfit will surely give you an entirely new meaning to dress for success.

What you need:

Red/white adidas Originals Superstar track jacket
Billionaire Boys Club tee
Distressed denim
Vivienne Westwood hat
adidas Originals x Pharrell Superstar Supercolor

The look: NWA group (Straight Outta Compton)

One of the best-rated and popular movies released this summer, Straight Outta Compton has spurred not only a lot of Straight Outta memes but more importantly, told the important story of racial struggle on individuals who are unjustly judged for not being seen as what popular media approves. Following the 80's hip-hop group tough mantra of not letting up but pushing back when life throws you obstacles, time to put on that all black outfit and represent something you stand for.

What you need:

Black bomber jacket
Black tee
Black over-sized baggy pants
Black Oakland Raiders snapback

The look: 2 Chainz

Want to start becoming the most interesting man in the world? Well, according to 2 Chainz connoisseur of the most expensive things in the world, there's a lot for you to catch up on. Have you tried feeding a $40K giraffe or petted a dog that costs 100K? Do you know what a $295 burger or $100K ice cream sundae or $100K bottled water tastes like? Time to get on 2 Chainz level (or at least dress like you're one to know all about the most expensivest sh**)

What you need:

2 chains - duh.
All black outfit

The look: Antidote Travi$ Scott

If you're looking to keep it low key at the night show and be able to party all again on Monday, this is the perfect outfit for your night out. Look no further as the only rule you must remember to follow (just like Fight Club) is to not open up the window, not to let out that antidote.

What you need:

Camo bomber jacket (2001 Raf Simons Collection)
Black hoodie

The look: G-Eazy

The pretty-boy rapper from the Bay represents a more polished look in the rap game today. Although named, G-Eazy, there is nothing simple about his outfit as it comes down to perfecting the right details and fit. Combining both features of classic Americana with contemporary street wear pieces, this look will be the one to pull off for all those with a slimmer build. If in doubt, watch this video (featuring G-Eazy himself) to make sure you know how to perfect the look.

What you need:

Black leather moto jacket
White oxford shirt
Black waffle sweater
Dark skinny denim
Creeper loafers
The key: slicked back hair - get ready to load up on some pomade
